Not a business line
No enterprise tier, no sales deck, no “book a demo”. Tools stay free for normal use.
TechWeirdo Tools is a focused set of browser tools built for real debugging and left open for everyone. One maintainer. No sign-up. No install.
HTTP client, DNS lookup, port and TLS checks, what’s-my-IP, hashing, bcrypt, JWT decoding, password, UUID and hex generators, JSON, Base64, URL and timestamp converters, tables, QR design and a small code playground. The network tools hit a real edge so results resemble the public internet. Everything else stays in your browser.
I wanted a toolkit that never interrupts a debugging session with an account prompt, a cookie wall or an upsell. This is that toolkit, shipped publicly in case it’s useful to you too.
Builder note
I’m Shounak — a doctor who codes on the side. The stack is deliberately small, practical and maintainable by one person. These are the same tools I use; the public version isn’t a cut-down demo.
Pages are plain static HTML, CSS and JavaScript — no framework, no build step and no tracking cookies — so they load fast on any connection. The interface follows the shadcn/ui design language, ported to dependency-free CSS.
Network requests are routed through an edge setup on Bunny: small scripts that run your lookup or HTTP request from a region and return the result. HTTP and DNS can target Nearest, US, EU or Asia, so you’re not stuck seeing one corner of the network. Private and loopback targets are blocked.
Local tools use browser APIs — Web Crypto for randomness and HMAC, WebAssembly for hashing large files in chunks — so passwords, tokens and files never leave your device. Analytics is a self-hosted, cookie-free Plausible instance. See the privacy page for every third party involved.
No enterprise tier, no sales deck, no “book a demo”. Tools stay free for normal use.
Edge, domains and the boring infrastructure bills are personal. If that ever changes, it’ll be said plainly here.
No account walls and no selling your data. A tip jar or sponsor slot, if ever added, won’t unlock basic features.
The day job is medicine; this site is a side project with a headcount of one. Replies may be slow when I’m with patients, but bug reports and “this DNS looks cursed” messages are always welcome.
Other things I’ve put on the internet include pediarx.com. Contact lives on my personal site — shounakpal.com is the front door.
Go use a tool. If it helps, great. If something’s broken, tell me.
